After my last post I updated my resume, and started my job hunt in earnest. It, thankfully, didn’t take too long for me to land something, and I started my new job at the beginning of September! So far, it’s been more fulfilling than the last job, and that’s exactly what I was hoping for. I switched from a worldwide organization to a small local office, and the atmosphere is just so much better. I couldn’t be happier with this decision. My job is different enough to feel new, but the same enough that I feel like I’m capable enough only three weeks in. Feels good.
New job meant new commute to work. New commute to work meant new routine. New routine allows for the gym twice a week before work which is just great! I can probably start adding a third gym day, but I’m trying to slowly get back to it and not burn myself out too quickly. It’s been quite a few months since I’ve been able to gym on the somewhat regular.
The last two weeks I’ve also been back to meal prepping for the work week. I’ve been trying to get back to intermittent fasting, but that’s a hurdle I don’t think I’m quite ready for.
Overall, the new job has made me hate everything A LOT less and given me the energy to work on myself again. Hoping beyond hope I can just keep this going and make it routine again because I really want to get back to where I was in February. I know it won’t happen before the end of this year, but I’m not going to let that discourage me.
I think that’s enough for my rambling update. I’m feeling good, and enjoying the last bit of summer before the fall weather really settles in.
